Hounds and Hooves Dog Training and Behaviour is based at Whitcombe Racing Stables on the outskirts of Dorchester. We offer a range of dog training classes and workshops geared towards puppies, teens and adult dogs. Training issues we can help with include, but are not limited to; pulling on the lead, recall, jumping up, puppy biting, toilet training and general manners.
121 sessions can be tailored to your training or behaviour issues. Holding a 1st class BSc in Canine Behaviour Management and an MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour, we use an ethical, evidence based framework to address issues including, but not limited to, dog-dog reactivity, dog-people reactivity, resource guarding, excessive barking, and generalised anxiety.

We believe canine behaviour is both a science as well as a practical art. In addition to being educated to degree level in behavioural sciences, we have having spent years honing our practical skills. The combination of education and practical skills results in behavioural change.

Alice runs our trick training classes and is passionate about using dog's brains to their full potential. Her life is run by her two collies; Tipsy and Jin.
